ROANOKE COUNTY -
With the Virginia General Assembly now out of session one local delegate wants to get your opinion on some new bills.
8th District Republican Delegate Greg Habeeb will hold a town hall meeting Wednesday night in Roanoke County.
Habeeb expects to tackle a number of issues including the newly passed transportation bill, which paves the way for Amtrak to come to Roanoke.
Habeeb said the way it is written, he couldn't support the bill.
"Most legislation in Virginia is small, little bite sized pieces," Habeeb said. "This is a big, complex piece. I voted against it but it's not all bad. We ought to talk about how we are going to fund transportation even though I don't think this was the right vehicle it's a good vehicle to discuss."
Habeeb also expects to hear about the three open judge positions in Roanoke City.
They were not funded by the General Assembly's state budget.
It will take an amendment from Governor Bob McDonnell in order to make a change.
Habeeb is hopeful at least one of those positions will be funded.
The town hall begins Wednesday night at seven at the Roanoke County Administration Center.
