A technology company in Blacksburg launches a new, unique app called 'Mars.'

Co-founder of PAR Works, Jules White, says the app allows cyber imagery to overlay on to real world data.

You can take a photo on your smart phone using the 'Mars' app and instantly learn information about the item.

"The idea behind the technology is literally to make your camera be able to see the objects in front of you. So you're not just taking a photograph of your dashboard, your camera knows it's a photo of your dashboard and can show you where all the buttons are and it will tell you what they do," Co-founder of PAR Works, Jules White, says.

White describes the app as a 'visual Wikipedia,' where anyone can share photos and information.

For example, if you get a new car and don't know how to work the dashboard. You can take a picture of the dashboard using the app. It will then pinpoint different places on the dash to give you information on it works.

The app is free and will be ready for consumers in the coming weeks.
