Food Lion Kitchen: Crazy Amazing Good Buttermilk Biscuits

1.25 # AP Flour

1/2# Whole Unsalted Butter, Cubed

1.25 oz Baking Powder

.5 oz Kosher Salt

2 oz Granulated Sugar

1 Q Buttermilk,Whole Preferred

 

Sift dry ingredients.  In large mixing bowl flake butter cubes into flour.  Once all butter is incorporated, slowly add buttermilk, mixing until a rough dough forms.

 

Remove dough from bowl onto dusted working table or cutting board.  Using a rolling pin roll out the dough until approximately 1/2" thick.  Tri fold and roll out again until 1" thick.

 

Using ring cutter or mold, cut an place biscuits on parchment lined sheet pan.  Brush with melted butter and bake at 350 degrees for 14 min, rotating after 7.
