Construction is progressing at a new bed and breakfast at Smith Mountain Lake.
Bedford Landings is located in Moneta, next to the lake and the Smith Mountain Lake Airport.
Crews started raising the timber frame of the building today.
"Each phase is so exciting, and the neighbors are loving following the progress. We also have a blog, where people are sending us messages, enjoying watching all of the progress," said Karen Phillips, co-owner.
The owners say they hope to have Bedford Landings open by Labor Day.
It's been several months since filming on the movie "Wish You Well" wrapped up in Giles County. Now the film's producers say they're inching closer to a release date.
