More than 900 vehicles came to WNCN's two Shred-It locations Saturday as the popular event was held in Cary and Fayetteville.
There were 784 vehicles in Cary at Leith Nissan on Auto Park Boulevard and another 150 vehicles at the Leith Automall on Skibo Road in Fayetteville.
The event was part of WNCN's"At Your Service" effort to serve local communities.
Many WNCN personalities and people were at the two events.
Both events were held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. WNCN and Shred-it Mobile Shredding & Recycling have partnered to provide free shredding events since 2006.
