RADFORD, VA -
Six people are behind bars after a home invasion in Radford earlier this week.
On
Tuesday, about 8:38 pm Radford City Police responded
to the 100 block of Copper Beach Drive in the City of Radford for a report of a
home invasion and robbery. Upon arrival officers located two victims who
reported that at least two unknown males entered their residence wearing
bandanas on their faces and demanded jewelry and other items. The residence was
unlocked at the time of entry.
Police say at
least one of the offenders was armed with a hand gun and of the suspects pistol whipped one of the residents causing injuries to the back of his head.
The victim refused treatment.
Johnie Winfield Hood
age 20 - of Belspring VA was arrested early Wednesday morning in connection
this incident. He has been charged with Conspire
to Break and Enter in the Nighttime, Conspire
to Commit Grand Larceny. He is being held at the
New River Valley Regional Jail on $5,000 bond
De'Lonnie Leon Leggett
age 21 - of Radford was arrested Saturday afternoon and charged with B&E
in the Nighttime to Commit Robbery, Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Robber. He is being held at the
New River Valley Regional Jail on no bond
Justin Sante Little,
age 23 of Radford turned himself in to the Radford Police Saturday. He is charged with B&E
in the Nighttime to Commit Robbery, Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Robbery. He is being held at the
New River Valley Regional Jail on no bond
William
Marcell Minter, age 18 of Radford has also been charged in connection to this
incident. He was arrested Saturday and charged with B&E
in the Nighttime to Commit Robbery, Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Robbery. He
is being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail on no bond
Dakota Randall Young,
age 21 of Radford and Tyler David Naftzger, age 18 of Sterling VA have also
been arrested in connection to this incident. They have been charged with Conspire
to Break and Enter in the Nighttime Conspire
to Commit Grand Larceny
Young was arrested in
Radford and is being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail on no bond
Naftzger was arrested
in Loudon County and is being held at the Loudon County Adult Detention Center
on no bond.
This investigation is
