Coach Rick Cormany probably was the most unhappy coach you will ever see after WINNING a state semifinal on Thursday night. He felt his team's effort wasn't up to par in a 14 point win over Essex. Tonight in Richmond he got the effort he was asking for in a 72-58 win over Gate City--and the Division 2 Boys state title.

Dee Cook found himself starting the game as the Bobcats attempted to get a match up advantage--and it worked to the tune of a 20 point effort to lead his team. Senior Josh Little scored 10 of his 16 points in the final quarter as Radford rallied from a three point deficit at halftime. Isaiah Phillips added 14 points. The Bobcats other state titles came in 1949, 2009 and 2011.  Luke Ervin led Gate City with 17 points.
