A call about a domestic dispute leads to a marijuana growing operation bust in Henry County.
Captain Eric Winn says the case began on Friday, March 8th, when the sheriff's office sent deputies to the 200 block of Rosemont Road in Bassett, for a domestic dispute call. When deputies arrived, they "developed information that led to the issuance of a search warrant for the premises," Capt. Winn stated.
The Henry County Vice Unit then obtained the warrant, and found 24 marijuana plants being grown inside the home. The plants ranged from 4-5 feet tall, and had a potential street value of $84,000, according to Winn.
Charges are pending in the case.
