Magna Vista High School bomb threat suspect arrested

HENRY COUNTY, VA -

A 17-year-old boy faces charges in connection with a bomb threat at Henry County's Magna Vista High School.

According to Captain Eric Winn, the case began on March 5th, when school workers became aware of a threat to the school.  The sheriff's office was called, and began an investigation.

Other students told investigators that a 17-year-old boy threatened to bomb the school.

Deputies eventually tracked down the suspect, arrested him, and took the boy to W.W. Moore Detention Center in Danville, on a charge of threaten to burn or bomb.

The juvenile has since been released to his parents' custody, and is not allowed on school property until the investigation is finished.
