Tax troubles for hundreds of thousands of people who filed tax returns with H&R Block.
On Wednesday, the nation's largest tax preparer admitted it made a mistake related to Form 8863 for the Educational Tax Credit (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8863.pdf ).
H&R Block says the filing problem impacts about 600,000 customers who filed between February 14th-22nd.
The IRS continues to process effected returns but those returns will be delayed because of the process necessary to correct the errors.
The filing error and delay is also creating concern among college students applying for financial aid, which requires tax information.
As of Wednesday morning, H&R Block has not said whether it plans to offer rebates or other compensation to those filers impacted.
