Roanoke Catholic School makes major renovations

Posted: Updated:
ROANOKE, VA -

Roanoke Catholic School is undergoing some major renovations.

This school year, they're getting more than $750,000 worth of improvements. Things like dozens of new energy efficient windows and doors and a new roof on the gym.

All of it is being done without any debt. The school received a lot of donations from alumni, families and the community.

"It's a huge boost of confidence that we're doing right. We're investing in kids and their faith first and that when you make the investments in the children, other people see those things that need to happen on campus and they're happy to step up and make those things available" said Patrick Patterson, the school principal.

They expect to spend even more money next year, up to $1.2 million dollars on building improvements.

There are still opportunities to donate.
