Roanoke St. Patrick's Day Festival street closures

ROANOKE, VA -

City of Roanoke news release

The City of Roanoke announces the following street closures in connection with St. Patrick's Day festivities on March 16:

A.  Shamrock Hill 5k, 10k and 1 Mile Fun Run Street closures will occur from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

• Gainsboro Road southbound, south of Orange Avenue

• Shenandoah Avenue westbound, between Jefferson Street and 22nd Street NW

• Centre Avenue eastbound, between 22nd Street and 12th Street

• Jefferson Street northbound, between Patton Avenue and Shenandoah Avenue

• Henry Street southbound, between Wells Avenue and Centre Avenue

• Loudon Avenue, between Gainsboro Road and Henry Street

A detour will not be established.

 

B.  Shamrock Festival

Street closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Norfolk Avenue, between short Market Street and Campbell Avenue

• Market Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue

• Wall Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue

• Jefferson Street, between Salem Avenue and Campbell Avenue

A detour will not be established.

 

C.  St. Patrick's Day Parade

Street closures will occur from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Jefferson Street, between Salem Avenue and Maple Avenue

• Campbell Avenue, between Williamson Road and Jefferson Street

• Williamson Road southbound, between Campbell Avenue and Franklin Road

A detour will not be established.

 

D.  Martin's St. Patrick's Event

Luck Avenue, between 1st Street and 2nd Street, will be closed to through traffic from 2-11 p.m.   All parking lots will be accessible.

A detour will not be established.
