People across the Roanoke Valley are already getting ready for the glitz and glamour of Friday nights Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce dinner.
Party on the Moon, which has been voted the number one party band in the nation, will lead the party at the Hotel Roanoke Tonight. It's being billed as the "social event of the year." This is the 70th anniversary of the dinner but the first time it has been open to non-members. "We are certainly community minded with linking business to the community being our tag line," explained Debbie Kavitz with the chamber. "A lot of our events like the Kite Festival and the Shrimp Fest are very much public events anyway and we work to help businesses in the community pretty much a role model for small business and provide a lot of networking and references and things like that which are the more serious side of chamber business, if you will."
Tickets are still available if you call the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber, (540) 387-0267, by noon.
