Body Found in Bath County

BATH COUNTY, VA -

State Police confirm they found a body during a search for a missing woman in Bath County.

Investigators have not identified the person and can't say if it's the woman they've been looking for.

We're told the medical examiner is on the way to scene.

As we've reported, State Police have been searching for 62-year-old Harriet C. Cobb, of Rockingham County. Investigators found Cobb's 2006 silver BMW 325i near Back Creek on Route 39, about 1/2 mile from Route 600, in the Mountain Grove area. Officers found no signs of foul play.

Troopers say Cobb was last seen be her family around 2:00 p.m. this past Saturday, March 9th in Rockingham County.
