Jones Stanley, the organizer of the Lynchburg Air Show, tells me that the upcoming show has been cancelled due to the sequester.
We expect to learn more information at a 4 p.m. news conference.
WSLS reported in February that the organizers of the show were concerned that the sequester could impact the Blue Angels availability. As of March 2nd, Air Show organizers told WSLS that they were still planning to hold the Air Show with or without the Blue Angels.
