LYNCHBURG, VA -

A Tennessee death case has a tie to Lynchburg, and police are asking for the public's help in our area.

The Blount County, TN Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Lance Michael Larson, of O'Fallon, Missouri was found dead in the Little River on Thursday night.  The cause of Larson's death is still under investigation.

Investigators say Larson was visiting Lynchburg in February, and left on February 19th to head back to Missouri.  Detectives do not know why Larson was in the area.

The sheriff's office wants to talk with anyone who saw or spoke with Larson between February 19th and this week.

Call the Blount County, TN Communications Center at (865) 983-3620 24-hours a day.

Lance was driving a 2003 Kia Spectra, 4-door, with a Missouri registration CF1S9R.  The car has not been found.
