Blairs woman dies in Pittylvania County crash

Pittylvania County, VA -

An early Sunday morning crash in Pittylvania County killed a Blairs woman.

Virginia State Police say it happened shortly before 3:00 am on Route 640 approximately one half mile west of Route 662 in Pittylvania County.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2002 Honda Civic was traveling westbound when the driver, Pamela Gayle Edwards, 41, of Blairs, Virginia ran off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected and overturned several times. 

State Police say Edwards was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Virginia State Police are investigating. No further details regarding the crash are available at this time.
