Arbor Hickerson and Lindsey Edwards are the WSLS - Red Cross "911 Dispatch Heroes."
The night of April 17th, 2012 a call came into the 911 center for a woman in labor.
The dispatcher acted quickly while one was getting important information from the caller and giving instructions on how to care for the mother.
The other dispatcher immediately dispatched the EMTs to a house on Red Lane and gave the crew detailed information on the situation they were about to respond to.
This was a high risk delivery, because according to family members the woman in labor was addicted to drugs and did not receive any pre-natal care for baby Eloise.
Arbor and Lindsey were nominated by the Salem Fire Department Captain, Eddie Hite.
He says they're actions helped prepare first responders and increased baby Eloise's chances for survival.
