Virginia Board of Education launches 'Listening Tour' at Franklin County Schools

The Virginia Board of Educations hears concerns from local parents and teachers about education.

It's part of David Foster's, the President of the Virginia Board of Education, state-wide ‘Listening Tour.'

Foster made his first stop at Franklin County Schools.

He says the main problem he heard revolved around the new ‘A to F Grading System,' the declining graduation rate, and number of students in living in poverty.

Foster plans to take the problems back to the board for review.

Fellow board member, Darlene Mack of Lynchburg, also joined Foster on the tour.
