A groundbreaking ceremony was held to celebrate the start of construction on the West End Revitalization project.
The site plans include a mix of commercial and meeting space. There will also be a community pavilion with a full-service kitchen and gardens. Freedom First Credit Union will also build a full-service branch on the site.
The project is a collaboration between Freedom First and the West End Center, also several other contributors including support from the CIty of Roanoke.
