Radford professor faces child porn charges

Taj Mahon-Haft, who had already been arrested on drug charges, has also been charged with multiple child pornography crimes.

Radford police say Mahon-Haft was originally arrested on drug charges handed down by a Radford Grand Jury on March 8. Police executed search warrants on his home, and got additional warrants to search computers they found there.

A search of the computers by the Virginia State Police High Tech Crimes Division found multiple images of child pornography. Police have charged Mahon-Haft with 24 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He was arrested today (Thursday) at his home without incident, and is being held on $10,000 bond.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
