A donation from the nationally known video company, GoPro, is making a difference when it comes to training local firefighters.
When budgets are tight Bedford firefighter Curtis Marshall came up with the idea to contact GoPro and see if the California company would donate the cameras to the small fire department in Virginia.
To Curtis' surprise GoPro sent him four cameras, mounts and remotes.
Leaders say they can better train new firefighters with these visuals and in turn that makes business and home owners safer.
"It allows us to go back and relive that scene and understand what we did, how we did it and also educate new and up coming people," said Marshall.
All the company asked for in return is video.
