SALEM, VA -

A spokesman with the Internal Revenue Service confirmed the agency was involved in a search warrant conducted Wednesday at the Rod Shop, a used car dealership in Salem.

The spokesman said it was part of a federal investigation with "multiple" agencies involved.

The spokesman wrote in an email that the search warrant investigators obtained from a federal magistrate to enter the business has been sealed from public view.

Sources with the FBI and DEA said they were not involved in the search.

The U.S. Attorney's Office has declined comment.

The owner of the Rod Shop told WSLS 10 yesterday that it was part of a grand jury investigation and all investigators took was a single computer.
