The case began around 2:30 a.m., when Officer Brandon Curry spotted a suspicious vehicle at the Econo Storage Facility on Riverside Drive.  Ofc. Curry investigated, then found open storage units and two men.

He took both men into custody, and an additional investigation determined they broke into and stole from storage lockers.

Justin Merritt faces an additional charge of possessing a firearm after being a convicted felon, and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
