Those of you who were hoping to receive free dental care this Spring, will have to wait until the end of Summer.
Organizers of the annual Mission of Mercy free dental clinic held at the Roanoke Civic Center, said on Tuesday that the event has had to be postponed until September 13-14th.
"The move was made in order to accommodate the schedules of health professionals who donate their time and talent," said Alison Jorgensen, Director of Capacity Building for the Council of Community Services, and director of the clinic, in an e-mail. "The new dates provided more flexibility for dentist who want to assist the underserved, uninsured adults in the Roanoke Valley."
When the clinic does happen, organizers say patients will need a ticket. A location and time for tickets pick-up has yet to be set.
