Apple Ridge Farm adding bed and breakfast cabooses

Posted: Updated:
FLOYD COUNTY -

Apple Ridge Farm is working to remodel three train cabooses. They have plans to turn the cabooses into bed and breakfast suites.

Apple Ridge Farm is located in Floyd County, and serves as a summer camp for children in need. The camp is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

The founder, Peter Lewis, says he looks at this project as an opportunity to provide long term sustainability to the non-profit.

"We're hoping this will give us unique lodging option to attract people," said Lewis.

The cabooses will be moved within a week. They will still need donations for renovations.

The link below provides information about the camp and how you could help with the project.
