North Cross students are volunteering their time to make a difference tutoring Roanoke City middle schoolers.
Each Tuesday, North Cross students show up at Andrew Jackson Middle School to help English Language Learners with their homework.
North Cross 9th grader Vincent Arnold created the tutor club earlier this school year and has recruited his peers to make a difference volunteering.
"I think it's a small difference. I think it's a local difference, but when you come in here a lot of times we'll have kids follow us to the door and they said you promise you'll come back next week, you promise you'll come back tomorrow," Arnold.
The North Cross students are so dedicated to the tutoring program that they actually came in on their Christmas break and volunteered at Stonewall Jackson Middle School.
