MARTINSVILLE, VA -

As people are preparing to head to Martinsville for the NASCAR race this weekend, the Martinsville Speedway is also preparing for huge crowds.

Now, there's a new smart-phone app to help enhance the experience for fans while they're at the track.

The big draw to the Martinsville Speedway app is it allows you to connect with people at the race.

If you want to meet up with a friend, but aren't sure where to meet, the 'Friend Finder' may be a good option.

You sign up for a pin number and anytime you and your friend both have the app open you can see where each are on the map.

You can also keep track of your car, If you are worried about forgetting where you parked.

"We have a GPS map feature, that allows you to find the closest Martinsville Speedway hot dogs, so you don't have to go wander around," Carolyn Warn, Martinsville Speedway Marketing.

If you want to capture your experience at the race, you can also use the 'Postcard' section. You can take a picture with different speedway backgrounds. There's also updated schedules with times for each race. You can also buy tickets.

"We just felt it was the right time to go ahead and make the technological jump," Warn says. "It's a great way for all of our fans to be involved with all the great activities going on here at Martinsville Speedway this race weekend."
