BLACKSBURG, VA -

Blacksburg Police arrested a woman on Thursday, in connection with a hit-and-run crash on Wednesday.

According to Lt. Nathan O'Dell, the crash took place around 5:05 p.m. on April 3rd, on the Route 460 Bypass, near its intersection with Southgate Drive.

Investigators found 20-year-old Taylor Starkey was driving a 2011 Toyota sedan east on the Route 460 Bypass in the right lane, and made an abrupt lane change as her car came up on slow moving traffic in the same lane.  Lt. O'Dell say Starkey hit the passenger's side of a 1997 Honda 2-door coupe, being driven by 38-year-old Kimberly Dowdy, of Christiansburg.

Police say Starkey drove away without stopping.

EMTs took Dowdy to LewisGale Hospital at Montgomery for treatment.

Officers arrested Starkey on Thursday, for a charge of felony hit and run.  She is being held on a $1,000 secured bond at the Montgomery County Jail.
