VDOT says it has interstates under control; focus on other roads overnight

VDOT says it's got the interstates under control.

Interstates 81, 77, and 581 are rated in minor to clear condition.

Minor means there are a few slick spots still left.

There have been no reports of anything major on I-64 either.

Once VDOT likes the way the interstates look, it turns its attention to primary, and then secondary, roads.

Many of those roads were still snow covered late Thursday night.

The fact that the storm has moved out of the area, and the warm conditions expected for Friday, should make for good travel conditions for the weekend.
