Former Ringling Bros. ® Clown College graduate and second generation clown, Dave Gregg, became fully engrossed in entertaining at the age of four when he was hospitalized for three weeks with a case of meningitis. During his time at the hospital, his grandfather had given him a magic coin box and taught him how to perform it. He performed the trick to every nurse, doctor, and orderly that happened to walk by his door. By the time he was cured from his meningitis, he had been bitten by the "showbiz" bug!

Similarly, Dave's wife Cherie was also fascinated with performing in front of audiences by the age of four. She was inspired to become a clown at the age of 15 when she attended a performance by Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®. The two were destined for each other and fate had brought them together at the Ringling Bros. Clown College auditions. The two kept in touch and when Dave returned home from Clown College they got married.

In November 1999, both Cherie and Dave were invited to be a part of the 130th Edition of Ringling Bros. They had enjoyed traveling and entertaining Children of All Ages so much that they decided to stay on tour for the 132nd, 133rd, and the 135th editions as well.

Now returning as their role as Ambassadors of Laughter for Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Presents Fully Charged, Gold Edition, Cherie and Dave travel to each city ahead of the show to share the news that Ringling Bros. is headed into town to present a thrilling, interactive and up close and personal Ringling Bros. circus production.
