BLACKSBURG -

A Blacksburg bike shop is cleaning up today after a pickup truck plowed through the side of the business yesterday morning.

Christopher Hinchcliffe, 21, according to police, was traveling on North Main Street around 3 a.m. when he veered the 1996 Nissan off to the left side of the road.

Hinchcliffe was charged with DUI.

The owner says no bicycles were damaged, but police estimated $12,000 in damage was done to the building.

The store opened for business as usual Monday morning as cleanup crews worked around customers.
