Her husband, Doval Emmanuel Watson, 58, was killed on the bus when it crashed Friday with six high school students around 7:05 a.m. on U.S. Route 58 in Capron. The bus was on the way to Hampton University for a high school students day.

The driver of the bus, Larry Brocks, 62, of Raleigh, survived and has been charged with reckless driving.
