Food Lion Kitchen: Panna Cotta

Panna Cotta

1 Envelop unflavored gelatin

2 tbsp. cold water

1 cup sour cream

1 cup whipping cream

1 cup half & half

1/3 cup sugar

1 vanilla bean

In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over water set aside.  In a sauce pan, combine sour cream, whipping cream, light cream and sugar.  Halve vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out seeds.  Add seeds to mixture.  Place saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, until very hot.  Stir in gelatin mixture til dissolved.  Remove vanilla bean halves. Chill for 4 hours.
