TRAFFIC ALERT: Roanoke street closures for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

DOWNTOWN ROANOKE, VA -

City of Roanoke news release

On Saturday, April 13, 2013, there will be several streets closed from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. due to the Susan G Komen Virginia Blue Ridge Race for the Cure event.

The closures include:

- Jefferson Street southbound, between Williamson Road and Reserve Avenue

- Williamson Road westbound, between Jefferson Street and Albermarle Avenue

- Albermarle Avenue eastbound, between Williamson Road and Jefferson Street

- Jefferson Street northbound, between Williamson and Albermarle Avenue

- Walnut Avenue westbound, between Jefferson Street and Piedmont Street

- Piedmont Street southbound, between Arbor Avenue and Piedmont Street

 

Reserve Avenue, between Franklin Road and Jefferson Street, will be closed until 4:00 p.m.

A detour will not be established.  The City of Roanoke will furnish, place, maintain and remove all barricades, signs, cones, etc.
