ROANOKE, VA -

Children at Carillon's Children's Clinic got a special surprise Saturday morning.

Several mascots with fur circus were there to bring smiles and laughs to the children and nurses. The characters were in town to perform at the Salem Red Sox game, but wanted to make a special appearance.

"This is the best part of our business. this is when we spread love and touch children that are down and out and our hearts are pure," says Rizo the ringmaster.

The group says this was their visit trip to Roanoke, and hope to come back soon.
