NASCAR Teardown: Texas Style!

Posted: Updated:

This weekend the Sprint Cup Series hit the track in the lone star state for an old fashioned shootout, suited for the wild wild west.  We had our fair share of blowouts, crashes and even a pit crew member one fire!--when a lug nut from Matt Kenseth's car sparked a fire in a pool of gas. But the real fireworks would be at the very end of pit road when Kyle Busch beats Martin Truex Jr. out of the pits, and on the restart. Wild thing would go on to sweep the weekend in Texas, but the young  gun isn't too impressed with his numbers thus far in his career.  That's because one fellow driver who goes by the name of Johnson has set the bar higher than anyone ever has. Busch went on to say that he's thankful for his success and for the people who have made it possible.  Jimmie Johnson still leads the point standings with Dale Earnhardt Jr. slipping to 6th place. Joey Logano has taken a lot of heat from his fellow competitors but he's currently in 9th place.
