Tip leads Christiansburg Police to meth lab bust

CHRISTIANSBURG, VA -

Christiansburg Police say a tip led to a meth lab bust Sunday night.

On Monday, officers released information about the bust.  The tip led investigators to the 1300 block of Scott Street, around 11:00 p.m. On Sunday.

Officers arrested 45-year-old Michael Lee Yelton Jr., and 43-year-old Blanche Elizabeth Ottersburg.  Both faces charges of:

  • Manufacturing methamphetamine
  • Conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine
  • Possession of precursors to methamphetamine


Yelton also faces a charge of allowing a child to be present during the manufacturing of meth.

The Department of Social Services took two children from the home.

Both suspects are being held without bond at the Montgomery County Jail.
