Police take receipts, shooting target, letters from suspected NRV Mall shooter's home

Posted: Updated:

Investigators took drawings, receipts, a shooting target, computer equipment, cameras and film from the home of Neil MacInnis, according to a new search warrant on file in Montgomery County circuit court.

MacInnis is charged with shooting two women with a shotgun inside the satellite campus of the New River Community College at the New River Valley Mall last Friday.

Investigators believe he targeted the victims at random.

The search warrant was for MacInnis's Christiansburg home, where he lived with his parents.

The court papers outline how investigators also confiscated computer equipment belonging to MacInnis.

MacInnis's next court appearance is scheduled for June.

The New River Community College will reopen all campuses tomorrow.
