Radford Police arrest 2 in meth lab bust

RADFORD, VA -

Radford Police charged two people in connection with a meth lab bust earlier this week.

According to Lt. R.A. Wilburn, officers with Radford P.D., and members of the Claytor Lake Drug Task Force raided a home in the 1200 block of 5th Street on Wednesday, April 17th.

When officers went inside, they found an active meth cook underway.  Two men and one woman were inside.

Police charged the two men: Lucas Scott Wright, 35, of Radford, and Christopher William Hoffarth, 23, of Radford.

Each man faces the following charges:

  • Conspire to manufacture 20 grams of more of methamphetamine
  • Manufacture 28 grams or more and less than 227 grams of methamphetamine
  • Possess two or more precursors (sodium hydroxide and pseudoephedrine )
  • Possession of a Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Possess 20 grams or more but less than 28 grams of a mixture containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine

Both are being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.
