The Henry County Sheriff's Office received a call at approximately 7:27 am on April 18, 2013 in reference to a breaking and entering at the United States Post Office located at 20 Marshall Way Fieldale, VA.  Deputies and Investigators arrived and found entry had been made into the building through a side window.  After gaining entry into the post office investigators found several items were vandalized to include computers and florescent light bulbs.  A fire extinguisher was also deployed throughout the interior of the post office.  The Post Master is in the process of determining the value of the damage and if anything had been stolen from inside the post office.

In the process of investigating this crime it was determined that the Fieldale Pool which is located directly behind the post office at 70 Marshall Way Fieldale, VA had also been vandalized.  The filter and the plumbing for the pool had been damaged.  The estimated damage was valued at approximately $200.00.

 

Anyone having information regarding these crimes are asked to contact Inv. B. Lawson at (276) 656-4218 or Crimestoppers at 63-CRIME (632-7426).  The Crimestoppers Program offers rewards up to $1,000.00 for information related to crime.  The nature of the crime and the substance of the information determine the amount of reward paid.
