Congressman Bob Goodlatte, who is the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, indicated he plans to hold a lengthy hearing process on the large and complex bill.

There's an Arbor Day celebration at Roanoke County's Glen Cove Elementary School this morning at 9:00 a.m. It includes a ceremonial tree planting and a presentation by the Virginia Department of Forestry along with the planting of ten maple trees.

Spring Valley Farms will be host a horse and mule auction at it's location in Moneta today. It starts at 10:00 a.m. with the sale of horse drawn farm equipment, buggies, wagons and carts. Another auction will take place this evening at five.
