U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano will be one of the key speakers at a House Judiciary hearing on the Senate's immigration reform bill. Congressman Bob Goodlatte, who is the House Judiciary Committee Chairman, indicated he plans to hold a lengthy hearing process on the large and complex bill.

The Postmaster General will be on Capital Hill today lobbying Congress to help reform the U.S. Postal Service. The agency is facing major financial problems, losing $16 billion in 2012. Last week Congress passed legislation preventing the USPS from dropping Saturday delivery without Congressional approval.

Two artists will build near a life-size balloon sculpture of a predatory dinosaur starting today. The exhibit titled Elastic Park is taking place at the Virginia Museum of Natural History.

There's an Arbor Day celebration at Roanoke County's Glen Cove Elementary School this morning at 9:00 a.m. It includes a ceremonial tree planting and a presentation by the Virginia Department of Forestry along with the planting of ten maple trees.

Kids at Wasena Elementary will learn about Arbor Day at a celebration this afternoon at 1:15. The kids will also plant trees.

Spring Valley Farms will be host a horse and mule auction at it's location in Moneta today. It starts at 10:00 a.m. with the sale of horse drawn farm equipment, buggies, wagons and carts. Another auction will take place this evening at five.
