Hillsville Police looking for missing teen

Hillsville Police are looking for a missing/runaway 15-year old girl last seen Friday. 

Police say Desiree Travers may possibly be in the company of an older Hispanic male. She could be in the Hillsville/Galax/Independence area. Friends have called police to report that she was overheard saying she was going to Miami, Florida or Texas.

Police are asking anyone with information to please come forward or call in. All agencies are running down leads and tips.

Hair: Brown
Eyes: Brown

Police say Travers took some clothes and other personal items when she left.

    According to Roanoke City Police a shooting suspect is at large after one person was shot on the Roanoke River Greenway near the Ramada Inn on Franklin Road. Police say the victim has non-life threatening injuries. The call came in around 8:55.
