Martinsville business broken into

Posted: Updated:
MARTINSVILLE, VA -

The Martinsville Police Department is searching for whomever broke into and stole from Harbour Garage and Towing over the weekend.

Investigators say the break-in took place around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 21st, when an alarm went off.  When officers arrived, they found a side glass window broken.

The owner said a small amount of money was stolen, and some was dropped by the burglar on the way out of the building.

Police say surveillance video from a nearby business shows a person walking toward the garage just before the burglar alarm sounded.  Then a car is seen on the video entering the parking lot shortly after the alarm goes off.

If you have any information, call the Martinsville Police Department at (276) 403-5328.
