WINTER HAVEN, FL (WFLA) -

A 2-month-old victim of the crash that shut down Havendale Boulevard last week in Winter Haven died Monday morning, police told us. She received severe brain trauma in the crash and never recovered.

Winter Haven Police officers responded to the scene of the wreck at Boys Club Road and Havendale Boulevard. They told us three victims of this serious crash were air-lifted to Arnold Palmer Medical Center. Two of those victims were children, one strapped in his child seat was ejected.

They were in a Chevy Cobalt with Keri Radnor, 27, behind the wheel. She was pulling out on Havendale from Boys Club Road when a Ford Expedition hit her car on the driver's side.

A 3-year-old boy Mekhi Brown and an infant Imani Brown were in the car with Radnor, according to the police report. The boy was ejected from the car and landed in the roadway in his car seat. The impact of the crash tossed around Imani Brown inside of the Chevy in a child carrier. Neither of the child safety seats were properly buckled into the vehicle, according to a preliminary investigation report.

Polk County Sheriff's deputy Debra Martin, who was off-duty and Cheryl Kelley, a registered nurse, stopped to help the victims. Deputy Martin performed CPR on the little girl who was unresponsive when she found her.

Auburndale Police Officer John Lynn and Polk County Sheriff's Deputy Ben Kirkpatrick were driving by when they saw the accident. They pulled over as well, and Deputy Kirkpatrick deployed his automated external defibrillator helping Martin with the little girl. Together they got a faint pulse and when paramedics arrived, they took the children to Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando in critical condition.

Rescuers took Radnor to Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Doctors say she is in serious but stable condition. Mekhi was in stable condition as well, WHPD officers told us.

Beverly Marieta, 49, was driving the Ford. She had Roseta Johnson, 63, and Tevin Nicholas, 20 in the car with her. Mariet and Johnson had minor injuries. Paramedics took them to Winter Haven Hospital. They left the hospital Tuesday. Nicholas didn't need any medical attention at all after the crash, according to the police report.

Havendale Boulevard opened for traffic by noon.
