MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VA -

A Blacksburg history teacher wins Montgomery County Public Schools' teacher of the year award for 2013.

The school system honored Bradley Kraft on Tuesday.  He teaches history at Blacksburg High School, and has worked at the school since 2008.

"Mr. Kraft is an inspiration to us all," said Brian Kitts, BHS principal, in a school system news release.  "He truly embodies what every parent wants for their child - a quality and meaningful learning experience. He is most deserving of this prestigious honor and we are proud to have him as a member of the Bruin family."

Kraft moves on to the regional teacher of the year competition.
