BEDFORD COUNTY, VA -

New information from the Bedford County Sheriff's Office, about the investigation and police chase that led to a search in Lynchburg on Wednesday.

According to Maj. Ricky Gardner, deputies arrested the woman who went into the Bank of the James branch in Forest.  Officers say 24-year-old Lachelle Lynette Slaughter, of Lynchburg, knowingly cashed a forged check.  She has since been released on bond.

Investigators also named one of the two men who they say sped off in a Nissan Altima Wednesday afternoon, from Forest into Lynchburg.

Deputies and officers are searching for 27-year-old Antonio Mariello Waring, of Raleigh, N.C.  He's wanted on four charges:

  2. Conspiring to utter a forged note (check)
  3. Feloniously conspiring to conduct of a bank action
  4. Felony eluding of a police officer

Maj. Gardner says investigators are still working to identify the second man in the car.
