Help for puppy Jezzabel

Posted: Updated:

It's easy for Camden and Kinley Eubank's story to pull at your heart strings.

The two siblings are eagerly waving people down on their street in Roanoke hoping to sell lemonade to pay for their dogs surgery.

"When we went to the emergency hospital, I was really upset because they said if we couldn't come up with the money for $3000, they would have to put her to sleep forever and that's what kind of broke my heart," Kinley Eubank says.

So far, they've raised about $75 from the lemonade stand, $180 from people calling in. and an anonymous donation was made at the emergency vet of $300.

"It's sad, we're all sad." Traco Eubank says. "We haven't hardly slept at all without out her. We are used to her turning and jumping up on our laps and she howls and we definitely miss that."

Jezzabel broke bones in her two front legs from jumping off the couch.

The Franklin County Animal Hospital already went ahead and did the surgery and is doing their part for the family. They are bringing the surgery price down from about $8,000 to $3,000.

"She's definitely part of our family. She's just like one of our kids," Eubank says.
