Johnson City man lands in jail on 4 different charges

JOHNSON CITY, TN -

22-year old Stewart Peppers is facing several charges.

Some involve weapons and drugs.

Johnson City Police officers went to check out a call about a car break-in on Milligan highway.

They say Peppers ran from them and dropped book and gym bags in the chase.

Inside the bags, officers say they found:

  •  a loaded handgun
  •  a vial containing anabolic steroid
  • a substance believed to be marijuana.  

 
The charges against peppers include: 

  • aggravated assault
  • unlawful possession of a weapon
  •  vandalism
  • drug possession charges.


Further investigation also revealed that the suspect had also pointed the handgun at, and threatened, a passer-by in a vehicle.
