Physical altercation lands two men in custody in Venice

VENICE, FL (WFLA) -

The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reports that a small group of individuals got into an argument that turned physical in the early morning hours of Sunday in Venice. 

Deputies say that one of the suspects produced an unknown cutting instrument and slash/stab the victims causing injury to both.  Authorities have not released the victims names at this time.

Responding deputies took 31-year-old Ronald M. DiCapua and 37-year-old Kyle N. DeSantis into custody.

The victims were air-lifted to Blake Trauma Center in critical condition. The Criminal Investigations Section was placed in charge of investigating this incident.
